Coconut milk is high in middle chain fatty acids (MCT's) called lauric acid, which is very easily absorbed by the body and gets used for energy. Coconut milk is antimicrobial, antibacterial and relatively low in sugar. This smoothie combo is perfect for when you're craving something sweet, decadent and cool enough for summer.
- 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk (not coconut cream)
- 1/2-1 cup filtered water (depending on how thick you like your smoothies)
- 1/2 cup frozen organic strawberries
- 1 serving vegan organic vanilla protein powder (I use Sunwarrior)
- 1 tablespoons chia seeds
- 4 ice cubes (optional)
Blend on high for 2 minutes. Sip away.
